CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Structure and Practices of Corporate Governance

The improvement of mechanisms to protect investors in the security markets led the Board of the Securities Market Commission (CMVM) to encourage far-ranging reflection on this subject, in prolonged processes of public consultation in which all the agents of the market generally take part.

CORTICEIRA AMORIM welcomed the initial recommendations issued by the CMVM, as well as the subsequent reflections and consequent changes to the applicable regulatory framework, as an opportune and pertinent contribution whose adoption will favour all entities, private or collective, whose interests are involved in the company activity. Their positioning in relation to company governance has been analysed critically in the light of these recommendations. Due consideration has been given to the effective advantages of implementing them in full, and the circumstances in which the company operates.

Currently, CORTICEIRA AMORIM analyses and reports the Structure and Practices of Corporate Governance that have been adopted, submitting the said report to their Shareholders and making it available to all interested parties.
