MANAGEMENT OF INFORMATION AND ELECTROTECHNICAL SYSTEMS

The Directors of the Amorim Group’s Information and Electrotechnical Systems looks after the strategic coordination of information technology and electrotechnical policies and the adoption of new technologies in the Group in order to support the business in all its strands:

Information Systems and Information:

• registering the daily activity of the companies;
• reporting and management control;
• support to decision-making;
• Information security;

Electrotechnical Systems:

• definition, support and accompaniment in implementing electrical projects;
• drawing up projects for licensing and execution in the area of electricity;
• responsibility for developing electrical facilities for official organisations;

Thus, alongside the IT departments in the different companies, the Amorim Group also has structures in the area of IT and Electrotechnical Systems that aid permanent situational diagnosis and strategic decision making:

• IT Systems Steering Committee – responsible for analysing and planning development in the area of IT Systems, technologies to be adopted and development phases of the macro projects;
• OSI – Sistemas Informáticos e Electrotécnicos, Lda. acts as purchasing centre for Group’s IT material, thus ensuring standardisation in the use of technology and alignment in all Group companies.

OSI - Sistemas Informáticos e Electrotécnicos, Lda. is intended as an effective alternative in outsourcing, in the areas of assistance, support and control, so as to allow increased operating efficiency with a view to satisfying the Client and promoting the continuous improvement of the Organisation.
