From the onset, the Amorim Group has sought to develop its business in a viable sustainable way, striving to attain economic returns whilst fostering the appropriate social and cultural conditions to support local communities.

At present, the Amorim Group is involved in several local initiatives aimed at fostering local development (i.e. support for local organisations such as sport clubs, firemen associations and academic institutions) and environment education (i.e. establishing partnership programmes with academic institutions and promoting discussion forums of relevant themes).

Due to their relevant interest and social impact both at a national as well as international levels, the following current sponsorship projects are highlighted next:

Serralves Foundation

The Fundação de Serralves (Serralves Foundation) is an active multi-themed concept institution with an active participation in Oporto’s cultural life. The Foundation holds a high profile both at national and international levels through several cultural activities conducted in its museum of contemporary art, in its park, its auditorium and the educational service centre.

With a unique combination of art and nature and a strong bond with the local community, the Serralves Foundation promotes an ongoing dialogue with a range of institutions and people, who are involved in the institution’s initiatives

The Amorim Group is a founding member of the institution and has participated in the Foundation’s initiatives since its inception in 1989. The Amorim Group recognises the importance of the initiatives carried out by the Foundation with its outstanding international credentials and has therefore enhanced its support so as to expand the cultural initiatives through specific exhibition sponsorships of renowned and emblematic contemporary artists.

Casa da Música Foundation

The Casa da Música Foundation was officially established in 2006 and is an important and dynamic cultural centre, amply promoting music and musical language and bringing new music concepts to new audiences at an unparalleled modern venue appropriately called “house of music”.

The Casa da Música is the first purpose-built facility in Portugal, which is exclusively dedicated to public performances of diverse music sorts as well as providing a first-class setting to enable rehearsal facilities for resident and non-resident orchestras and other relevant groups. Accordingly, Portugal is able to enjoy a music hall of high European standards and features opened to different audiences and to the wider public, which serves to attract renowned national and international musicians.

The Amorim Group recognises the need and opportunity for such cultural centre and has embraced its development through an active participation in its management and cultural scope.
